Leuven is conventiently located near the intersection of the E40 and E314 Motorways.

In order to limit air polution and maintain the historic aspect of the town, car access and parking has been rather restricted in the downtown area.

Coming from Brussels or Brussels airport

1. Take the E40 direction Luik (Liège) – Keulen.

2. After about 20 kilometers, change to the E314 (A2) direction Leuven – Genk - Hasselt

3. After about 500 metres on the E314, take exit 15 Leuven.

4. You will arive at the N264. Turn right after the fourth set of traffic lights, to merge onto the ringway around Leuven.

To get to Parking Heilig Hart (Naamsestraat 102C, 3000 Leuven)

At the ringway, choose the left traffic lane. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights (Naamsepoort) into the Naamsestraat. When leaving the parking lot, turn left and walk in the direction of the city centre. After about 600 meters, you will see the University Halls on your left.

To get to Parking Ladeuze (Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 20, 3000 Leuven)

At the ringway, choose the left traffic lane; Follow the ringway for about 1,4 kilometers, untill you arrive at the Tiensepoort. There, turn left at the traffic lights, into the Blijde Inkomststraat. The Ladeuzeparking is situated at the end of this street. When leaving the parking lot, walk into the Leopold Vanderkelenstraat, in the direction of the main shopping street of Leuven (the Bondgenotenlaan). When you arrive at the Bondgenotenlaan, turn left, in the direction of the main marquet square (Grote Markt). Cross the Grote Markt and keep the city hall on your left. Turn left next to the city hall into the Naamsestraat. After 140 meters, you will find the University Halls on your right.

 

Leuven is a stop on the international railroad London (UK) - Brussels - Liège - Köln (Germany).

Coming from any other line, you can change at Brussels' North, Central, or Midi stations, where there is a train to Leuven every 30 minutes.
Brussels International airport has its own railway station located in the airport building. You can take a direct train from the airport to Leuven.

From Leuven station or downtown Leuven, bus line 2 (Campus Arenberg) will bring you to the Naamsestraat . Get off the bus at the stop named "Leuven Rector de Somerplein Zone C". The bus stop is situated at the Grote Markt, the main market square of Leuven. Cross the Grote Markt and keep the city hall on your left. Turn left next to the city hall into the Naamsestraat. After 140 meters, you will find the University Halls on your right.
